Ashley EM Miller, PhD ―
Creative Science Engagement
Hi, I’m Ashley (she/they). I combine my science, art, and museum education experience to craft creative science communication solutions. Hailing from The Bahamas, I’m currently based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where I work on illustration, writing, and informal STEAM education projects in my home studio.
After earning my bachelor’s and doctorate from the University of Guelph, I studied science communication at Laurentian University’s fabulous Sci. Comm. graduate diploma program in Sudbury, ON. I have ten years of experience in informal science and STEAM education through my work with non-profits, in-class outreach, and as a museum professional. I enjoy teaching and learning new things. So, in addition to STEM topics, I lead dog training classes for adults and families as a certified professional dog trainer (CPDT – KA).
